Grading Policy:

One-hour Quizzes (3 @ 10% each)            45% (best 3 out of 4 quizzes)

            Short Quizzes (10 minutes each)                5%

Homework                                                     10%

Project (Design Problems)                          5%

Final Examination                                         35%

 

Course Policy:

-         There is complete uniformity between the sections

-         One-hour quizzes and the final exam will be closed book and closed notes, but you can use an 8½ x 11 inch review sheet written on both sides. You will need to submit the review sheet along with the exam.

-         Short quizzes may be given during the recitation or during the lecture.

-         No make-up quizzes will be given.  A grade of zero will be recorded for a missed quiz unless you provide a valid excuse or have prior instructor approval, in which case the grade will be prorated.

-         The lowest quiz grade (out of 4 quizzes) will be dropped

-         Homework will be collected in class, every Tuesday, on the dates indicated on the course calendar.

-         Homework assignments are posted on the course web site on WebCT.

-         No late homework will be accepted.
