Please orchestrate the opening 16 bars of Debussy's Valse Romantique as follows:
You
have a limited budget but need a full orchestra including winds, brass,
percussion and strings. The orchestra manager has suggested an
orchestra configuration that contains 10 1st violins. You have 1
timpani and 2 percussionists
You must
orchestrate these measures such that you use all of the instruments at
least once. That means you will have to double instruments with other
instruments. As well, you may transpose any section of music or musical
line up or down one octave.
In order
to receive credit you must submit a pdf of your score and an mp3 of the
playback of the orchestration. Make sure your score is complete with
dynamic markings, articulations and all necessary slurs and bow
markings.
