Personal Statement

I assume some of you may disagree with me after reading my personal statement. Please note that I have no intention to deal with conflicting arguments by others.

Here, I would like to qualify my academic treatment of students at Stevens. Regardless of their personal, religious, or ethnic background or views, I make all decisions on the academic standing of students in an unbiased manner. In particular, the sole criteria for assigning the grade in any course that I teach is the performance of students on the exams and assigned work. Now, let me start:

I believe that

there is only one God, who exists in three Persons, each of whom participated in the work of creation.

the Bible is the divinely-inspired revelation of the Creator to man. It is infallible and completely authoritative on all matters with which they deal.

Adam and Eve were specially created by God. In Adam, mankind was instructed to exercise "dominion" over all other created things, but the entrance of sin brought curse on that dominion and on mankind, culminating in separation from God.

the alienation of man from his Creator can only be remedied by the Creator Himself, who became man in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.

on the basis of His redemptive work, individuals receive forgiveness and eternal life solely through accepting Him as Creator, Redeemer and King.

the eventual accomplishment of God's purposes in creation will take place at the return of Jesus Christ.

Accepting Jesus
