The one on the left side appears to have been double struck.

Came with a Finnish sling marked SA and cleaning rod. Looks to be a refurbished rifle by RE but cant find a date when this was done. Great blueing and bore. No importation marks.

Looks like SG in a round lozenge stamped on lower left side of receiver and repeated on lower left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver. Illegible proof on left side of receiver.
Looks like small box (maybe originally an E), and O stamped on left rear of stock just forward of the buttplate (now a recoil pad)
Looks like ME or MF in lozenge on bolt near where the bolt attaches to the receiver. Crown marking and adjacent illegible marking on bolt knob (proofs ?).
The rifle was sporterized and is actually in very good condition with the exception of the pitted bore.

The top of the reciever and the left of the barrel (next to the STN) are stamped BL.
PF is stamped on the right side of the barrel under the date.
The stock cartouche SEZ FABBRICA----- GARDONE VT.
Under Gardone VT it is stamped RPARAZIONE-1938.
1 inch in front of the side sling mount in the butt is a square stamp with 8de.
The serial number is stamped on the bottom of the stock in front of the bottom sling swivel as well as in front of the butt plate both match the barrel number.
This has the same stock and bands as a 1928 model but still has the original TS front sight.
