HOBOKEN OPEN  TOURNAMENT

WHAT: a 4-round AGA-sanctioned  tournament

The [AccelRat] pairing system ensures even games for top
dan players.  Weaker kyu players will receive full handicap, while
intermediate players will receive partial handicap based on a sliding
scale


PRIZES:   OPEN SECTION:  winner gets $400 (cash split among equal records) 

                Prizes to all players with 3 or 4 wins

                                                 


WHEN: Sunday, September 20, 2009  **REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 9:30AM**

              Registration from 9:00 AM-9:30 AM; first round at 9:45 AM


COST:   $25 if you pre-register by e-mail bySeptember 18...
at lruss@stevens.edu  and you can pay when you arrive;  $30 at the door


WHERE: at the regular meeting place of the Hoboken Go Club: the
Howe Center Building at the Stevens Institute of Technology campus
in Hoboken, NJ

AGA membership required (available at the day of the
tournament)

TIME: Registration from 9:00 AM-9:30 AM; first round at 9:45 AM
(the times for the later rounds are approximate)

Round 1: 9:45 AM
Round 2: 1 PM sharp
Round 3: 3 PM
Round 4: 5 PM
Prize Award Ceremony: 7 PM

TIME LIMITS: 45 minutes basic time and 4 20-second byo-yomi periods

RULE SET: AGA rules will be used; KOMI=7.5 POINTS
