I am an assistant professor at the School of Systems and Enterprises at the Stevens Institute of Technology. My broad research interests lie in the area of Software Engineering. My research centers around modeling and analyzing software architecture for addressing separate concerns of different stakeholders. One of my on-going projects is analyzing how a software system's architecture impacts the communication among developers and vice versa. I am also working on constructing a test-aware architecture model to support testing-related decision making in software projects.
Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Drexel University, 9/2011 to 9/2016 B.S. in Network Engineering, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, 9/2005 to 6/2009
I was born in the city of Tian Men in Hu Bei province of China. I grew up in Jing Zhou. Jing Zhou is an important city appeared in the book "the Romance of the Three Kingdoms". There, I received my primary-school, mid-school, and high-school education. In 2005, I won the 3rd Prize in the national mathematics competition for high-school students.
I moved to Beijing, the capital of China, to pursue my undergraduate education at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) from 2005 to 2009. The motto of BUPT is Great Virtue, Profound Knowledge, Total Commitment, Harmonious Cooperation (厚德 博学 敬业 乐群).
From 2009 to 2011, I studied in the Ph.D. program at the computer science department at Missouri University of Science and Technology. Below is the Joe Miner of Missouri University of Science and Technology.
In 2011 Fall, I joined Drexel University. The symbol of Drexel is a dragon. I worked with Dr. Yuanfang Cai for my Ph.D. study in Software Engineering. In the August of 2016, I defended my dissertation, titled "Bridging the Gap between Software Architecture and Maintenance Quality".
.In 2016 Fall, I joined Stevens Institute of Technology as an assistant professor.
