Trains stations. Machine shops. That baby that won't stop crying behind you on the plane. Noise surrounds us and is a nuisance. Acoustic Energy Harvesting Device (AEH) aims to convert that wasted noise into useful electrical energy by means of vibrating piezoelectric strips.

AEH consists of 3 main components which are a sound resonator, energy capturing membrane, and an energy storage unit. Sounds entering the resonator will hit the membrane. The vibration energy will then be converted to electrical energy by the piezoelectric strip that is attached to the membrane
