• Careers in Applied Mathematics and the Computational Sciences is an online booklet put out by SIAM--the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. The booklet details what applied mathematicians do. There's a lot more to math than books!
  
• phds.org was originally in the section below but, since it contains valuable links on employment and careers in the sciences as well, it gets put in this section as well.
  

• phds.org makes a second appearance here. If you are interested in graduate school or a career in academia, check out their section on graduate school, or create your own grad school ratings based on criteria you select.
  
• Graduate Study in the Computer and Mathmatical Sciences: A Survival Manual. Very kindly offered by Dianne O'Leary at the University of Maryland, these pages offer the skinny on graduate school: how to approach it, what to expect, and of course how to survive.
  
• The SIAM Report on Mathematics in Industry Especially the sections on Perceptions of Graduate Education and on Graduate Education.
  
• Graduate Departments - Here is a list of links to all of the mathematics graduate departments in the US that have home pages.
  

Multiple

• The Mathematical Atlas is the wonderful creation of David Rusin out of Northern Illinois University. It's a pictoral representation of the wide variety of mathematical subjects currently studied, all clearly described and related. It's a great way to familiarize yourself with 'what's out there' in mathematics.
  
• The Math Forum Swarthmore's Math Forum site is one of the tops for organization and content. Whether you are a student, teacher, professional, or parent, check out this site for relevant material. No kidding, the Internet Math Resource Collection alone makes my list instantly obsolete.
  
• Math for Morons Like Us is a good site for those who are looking for a little help, or just a different take, on high school math subjects. (Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus and Calculus.)
  
• S.O.S. Mathematics, based at the University of Texas at El Paso, is a great site with 'learning units' on Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Differential Equations, Complex Variables, and Matrix Algebra. Comes complete with tables of mathematical formulas and sample exams in the subjects. A great place to learn on the web!
  
• The Connected Curriculum Project is a collaborative effort that compiles various lessons on topics spanning the undergraduate curriculum.  The units are centered around computer algebra systems and are intended to encourage exploratory learning.  While at Duke University I was able to contribute a lesson on sinusoidal waves, based around the Maple CAS.  Feel free to check it out!

Geometry

• The Geometry Center The Geometry Center is a National Science Foundation-funded entity based at the University of Minnesota. Among other things, it has the Geometry Reference Archive and a nice collection of downloadable software.
  
• The Geometry Junkyard is a deceptively simple-looking collection of topics that catalog papers and other web-based documents on the subjects. Some of the categories (and some of the papers) are quite deep, so keep your pencil handy.
  

Trigonometry

• A Short Course in Trigonometry By David E. Joyce of Clark University, who is something of a one-man web resource for math topics. You'll notice him cited again in the History section below. To check out his home page proper, go here.
  

Probability

• The Chance Database contains materials intended to aid the teacher of a probability or statistics course. A lot of good, real-world stuff here.
  
• The Virtual Laboratory in Probability and Statistics is a wonderful resource for students and teachers of probability and statistics. The brainchild of Kyle Siegrist of the University of Alabama Huntsville, the Virtual Lab not only has tutorials and lessons on most (if not all) of the topics in introductory college courses, but includes instructive applets that illustrate particular concepts.
  

Linear Algebra

• Professor Mark Sapir's Linear Algebra WebNotes are available online. What is it?? Only "a complete undergraduate Linear Algebra course including the text of lectures, homework assignments and tests with solutions, a discussion page, Maple examples, etc." Dr. Sapir's homepage is here.
  

Number Theory

• The Number Theory Web, based at the University of Georgia, lists a number of resources for Number Theorists worldwide.

Abstract Algebra

• Abstract Algebra Online Course is an online Abstract Algebra textbook.
  

Real Analysis

• Interactive Real Analysis out of Seton Hall is an online, interactive textbook for Real Analysis or Advanced Calculus in one real variable. It deals with sets, sequences, series, continuity, differentiability, integrability (Riemann and Lebesgue), topology, and more.
  

History of Mathematics

• The MacTutor History of Mathematics Archive Probably most often visited for its biographies, the Archive also has organized outlines of the histories of mathematical topics, famous curves, as well as anniversaries, etc.
  
• David E. Joyce's History of Mathematics Page Professor Joyce (of Clark University) has kindly put his materials on the History of Mathematics on the web. He is also editing an edition of Euclid's Elements for the web, not yet available.
  
• The Women Mathematicians Pages Mathematics is often accused of being solely a 'man's domain,' but the students at Agnes Scott College are compiling a list of women mathematicians who have left their mark.
  
• History of Mathematics: Links A list of other links to sites with primary and secondary materials for the history of mathematics.
  
• The Mathematical Quotations Server Based at Furman University, this is a collection of math-oriented quotes from writers, scientists, presidents, journalists, mathematicians (of course), and others. Try the random quote generator!
  

• Eric Weisstein's World of Mathematics was originally Eric's Treasure Trove of Mathematics until Wolfram Research (makers of Mathematica computer algebra system) noticed how comprehensive he was getting and bought him out. An awesome glossary of well-indexed mathematical terms, all comprehensively cross-listed. Even better, for each entry Eric has also listed his sources.
  
• Sloane's On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences Among other things, a search engine for sequences. Can't figure out what might come after 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,...? Can't figure out that sequence's name? This site can tell you.
  
• Favorite Mathematical Constants A compendium of famous and not-so-famous mathematical constants, everything from pi to Conway's constant.
  
• About Today's Date is a fun site which gives interesting facts about the numbers in today's date.
  
• Cut-the-Knot.com has a little bit of everything. I have only begun to explore this site or I'd tell you more, but everything I've seen so far is highly interesting!
  
• Mudd Math Fun Facts out of (where else) Harvey Mudd College is a veritable compendium of (what else) fun facts ranging across the curriculum--Probability, Number Thoery, what have you. Browse, learn, and vote for your favorites!
  

• Jim Wilson's Problem Solving Class includes an online 'problem set' with many interesting problems that I, personally, want to work my way through. That's what this section is about.
  
• The Online Reference to Mathematical Problems is a compendium of difficult mathematics problems taken from various sources, including The William Lowell Putnam Competition, the International Math Olympiad, assorted journals, etc. A neat place to test my mettle and gain new skills.
  
• Shack's Math Problems is a list of problems compiled by Michael Shackleford, a.k.a. "The Wizard of Odds." Gamblers should also check out Michael's pages on that topic here.
  

Unsolved Problems in Mathematics

• Unsolved Math Problem of the Week archive is a running tally of problems in mathematics that, while incredibly easy to say, seem almost impossible to solve.
  
• Mathsoft problems A list of problems that no one can do and conjectures that no one can answer. Can you?
