My Custom CBR600F2 Project Details
A small plastic repair project evolved into a full out disassembly and customization of this bike over the summer of 2009 through spring (hopefully) of 2010. Here you can follow my project from start to "finish" (I still have more to do).
Project Background:
- Base Bike: 1992 Honda CBR600F2
- Phase I - Complete - F4i Tail Swap / Frame Customization, Powder Coating, and Mechanical Necessities
- Phase II - 900RR Rear Wheel, Upgraded Suspension and Brakes
- Phase III - LED Style Lighting, HID Headlight, Smoked Headlight, Smoked Turn Signals, Cigarette Outlet for GPS
- Phase IV - Gloss Black Paint
Project Details - Gloss black, 100% blacked out including the exhaust. Upgrades include '01-'03 F4i tail with undertail and LED turn signals, 900RR rear wheel with 180 tire, carbon fiber mirrors with integrated turn signals, HID headlight, carbon fiber foot pegs, carbon fiber levers, recovered F4i seats with custom embroidery, carbon fiber extended frame sliders, carbon fiber tank and gas cap pads, smoked headlight, smoked turn signals, smoked wind screen, alarm system / bike locator, and orange LEDs over the tires, engine, etc. The wheels, frame, swing arm, brake calipers, triple tree, and any other exposed metals will be powder coated. New wiring harness due to the numerous problems that I have faced with the original. Stainless steel braided brake lines, gold valve cartridge fork emulators, 15 W fork oil, new springs, upgraded rear shock (haven't decided on specifics yet).

Obviously I am going to replace the upper left fairing but I got screwed over on single piece units that were junk and I haven't been able to find the fairing by itself for a reasonable price.

First Update:
I got the back corner of my garage cleaned up, setup the torpedo heater, and started looking at the tail modification.
