Organizational learning and the continuity of adaptive success

The research on organizational learning has used the concept of search to illustrate multiple dimensions of knowledge acquisition. In this paper I separate some of the more critical aspects of search to elaborate their unique implications for organizational survival and growth. The study explains how the distinct facets of search facilitate our understanding of the various other literature streams that build upon the models of organizational learning, and it empirically illustrates the optimal model of search for consistent adaptive success.
