July 2015: Prof. Li gives an invited talk on adaptive detection for
MIMO radar Stevens' Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC), a
University-Affiliated Research Center of the US Department of Defense,
on July 30.

July 2015: Prof. Li gives an invited talk on signal detection for
passive RF sensing at 2015 International Workshop on Emerging Topics
in Signal Processing, Chengdu, China, on July 16.

March 2015: SPAC receives a multi-year contract from AFRL to conduct
research on adaptive signal detection with distributed sensors.

January 2015: Prof. Li is re-elected as a Member of the Sensor and
Multichannel (SAM) Technical Committee, IEEE Signal Processing
Society. He served on the same committee between 2007 to 2012.

August 2014: SPAC receives a grant from NSF with a 3-year project on
sparse signal recovery.

August 2014: Prof. Li is re-appointed as an Associate Editor for IEEE
Transactions on Signal Processing. He served the same role between
2006 and 2009.

July 2014: Prof. Li gives a plenary talk titled "Signal Processing
for MIMO and Passive Radar" at the 2014 International Workshop on
Mathematical Issues in Information Sciences, Xi'an, China, on July 9.

May 2014: Congratulations to Zhu Chen and Kiran Sampath who receive their
PhD degrees. Zhu also receives the
2014 Francis T. Boesch Award and the
Outstanding Dissertation Award in Electrical and Computer
Engineering.

September 2013: At the 2013 IEEE VTC-Fall Conference in Las Vegas,
Prof. Li receives the
2013 IEEE Jack Neubauer Memorial Award
for the best systems paper (co-authored with students and post-doc
P. Wang, J. Fang, and N. Han) published in the
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.

September 2013: Prof. Li delivers a tutorial titled
"Overview of STAP Techniques" at the 2013 IEEE International
Conference on Radar, Adelaide, Australia.
The tutorial was developed jointly with Dr. Braham Himed of AFRL.
